Thursday 7/5/2012, some friends and I wanted to take the day to go pray. We went to the Grotto and started our day saturated in prayer. I was directed by the Spirit to go up to a guy’s car in the parking lot and pray with him. He had a liver disease and so we prayed against it.

Half way through the day, we went up to the viewpoint, a meditation room that overlooks the city. We started worshiping and praising the Lord. Three guys walked in and Chris got a word about diabetes so he asked if one of their moms had it and none of them had a mom with diabetes. One of the guys was in a bike accident so we prayed and Jesus healed his feet and back. Then he got prophesied over and impacted by the Holy Spirit.

After that, an older lady walked in with a married couple. I got a word about cancer so I asked the lady if she had any health problems like cancer because the Lord wanted to heal her. She said she had diabetes, so we prayed over that then we prayed over her hurt knee and the Lord healed her. After that, couple asked us if we could pray for their family so we prayed over them for blessing. Then the lady asked if we could pray for the rest of the family which was around twenty something people all together, and we said yes. They brought their whole family and the Lord started pouring out His love. The lady said that she knew there was a reason that they stayed behind. Her whole family was about to leave but she made them stay a little bit longer.

The first lady I prayed for had arthritis in her hands and feet and asthma. After rebuking the asthma, she said she felt heat in her lungs and her lungs got better. Then her hands and feet were touched and all symptoms of arthritis left. After that, one of the younger boys had pain in his ankles and after a quick prayer they got better. The other boy we prophesied over and prayed for his ankles too and the Lord healed him. During this time, Chris started ministering the Fathers heart to the family and speaking healing and restoration.

A married older couple from the family walked up to us and asked for prayer. The lady had cancer in her side and after praying she said she felt heat where the cancer was. After that, we prayed over her husband for acid reflux and his heart condition. He felt heat also. After that, I started getting words over a few of the members of the family. Then, we prayed over the husband of the first couple we talked to. He had heart problem and he said he felt heat after being prayed for. After all of this, the whole family held hands together as we prayed for them.

After that, we prayed for a few more families. Another Hispanic family came in and we were blessed to pray for them. The grandma was there, so we prayed for the disks in her back and she felt better. We were relying on the mother of the family to interpret. We ministered to them and prayed with them as a family. Half the family got on their knees as we prayed. Then we started ministering to them. WE prayed for family members who weren’t there and for the mother’s sleep disorder. We talked about the Lord and I was feeling strongly in my heart to affirm her in relationship to the Father and not debate over doctrine. We had such a blessed conversation. She said that she knew the Lord brought her to the grotto and she’s in love with Jesus. While we were talking to her another lady walked by and she had pain in her back and the Lord touched her.
God is so amazing! Thank You Jesus! I’m in awe of His work. Even in taking a day to rest and pray, the Lord turns it into an explosion of His glory.
