Saturday 7/6/2013, we hit up Holiday Park. I saw a guy with his hand wrapped up and we prayed over it. He said some of the pain left. After that, I talked to a group of young guys asking them if they wanted prayer. Some of them said no at first but told me they were ready to go dance.
They turned on the boombox and a few of them started doing some dubstep. One guy was sitting down and they all said he was the best dancer, but he wouldn’t dance right there. I asked if any of them had any pain in their body and one guy had a bullet wound right above his knee. After some prayer he said it felt 100% better. He joined in with Dem and Chris praying over his friend. Everyone else said they had no pain and they were good on prayer.
We went up to a table and started talking to two guys and a girl. Chris got that one of the guys was a comic book artist, and Dem got that they were fatherless and he shared how God wanted to be a father to them.
After that, we came around the guys doing dubstep. This time, there was a larger crowd. The one guy who everyone said was a really good dancer said, ok I’m ready to be filmed. He did some dub step and was amazing. He also did a backflip off the bench. While I was filming this, Chris and Dem were getting words over two other guys sitting on a bench.
After that I told three of them what happened with that guys knee and showed them footage of a guy’s shoulder getting healed. After that, I asked if they would like to experience God. So, they had everyone turn the music off and I just prayed, “Holy Spirit come, fill them with Your presence!” One guy jumped and said he felt someone touching his shoulder. I said that was Jesus making Himself real to you. Then, the guy who just danced said, do me next, and another guy, Josh, chimed in wanting to experience God. I asked the whole crowd to pray, Holy Spirit Come!. They did and one guy jumped, then the next guy took off running screaming. Around this time, some of the girls there were trying to distract what was going on but it wasn’t working.
After that, I asked if they had any pain in their bodies. One guy said his wrist hurt, another his ankle, another, his feet. Funny how a lot of them said they didn’t have any pain when I first talked to them, lol. To prove it was Jesus and not just me, I had them pray over each other and one by one, they got healed. One girl shouted in the middle of this, it’s psychosomatic. Then, the guy who took off running came back and his knee hurt. They prayed and it didn’t get healed, they prayed again and he started hitting his knee trying to make it hurt. God is so awesome.
Two of them gave their lives to the Lord. After they received the Lord, I prayed for them to be baptized in the Spirit. The first guy felt fire and tingling fill his chest and his tongue started moving in a strange way. I told him about tongues. The other guy, when I prayed for him to be baptized in the Spirit, he felt fire and tingling enter his chest also. They both were rocked by the Lord. One of the other guys said he was still young and didn’t want to make a commitment, but he let me pray for him. He said he felt a tingling come out of my hand as I was praying for him.
After that, we met up with a girl who was at the Conference on Friday. She had hip and back problems and Chelsea prayed over her until it went away. Then, we headed into the mall and prayed over a bunch more people, got words over some, saw some more healing break out.
God is so amazing. That night, I was praying for those we encountered at the park and the Holy Spirit said, “I like to be invited places, if you invite me I will come.” Then, I had a vision of Jesus standing in front of the group from earlier and taking pieces of His flesh and giving it to them. Then I felt in my heart, “Taste and see that the Lord is good”!
God is searching for those who will be His light in the darkness. He’s looking for those who realize His power to chance lives and become saturated with His love to go to the lost.
